This will be a short update due to the COVID-19
pandemic. Please take care of yourselves
and your loved one during this time.
Microsoft finally hit its goal of Windows 10 on 1 billion devices,
although they hit their milestone two years later then they predicted. A major security hole was found in Windows 10
which Microsoft was not able to patch in time for “patch Tuesday.” This is an extremely important fix since it
leaves computers vulnerable for remote control and compromised files. Please either update Windows 10 again, or you
can read and download the patch directly from this page ASAP:
Apple canceled their annual World Wide Developers Conference
due to the pandemic, but they quietly announced new hardware upgrades
today. The new models/updates are
incremental, not revolutionary changes.
A quick recap of Apple’s new releases:
New 11” and 12.1” iPad Pro models with upgraded
cameras and slightly faster processors. The
new models support Apple’s latest iPad keyboards, which feature backlit keys, a
trackpad (for the first time) and an adjustable cavalier to hold your iPad Pro. Apple wants users to think of the iPad Pros
as a computer/laptop replacement. These
are higher end models whose prices easily run over $1,000 when equipped with
Apple keyboards.
The Mac Mini received a slight bump in processor
and memory speed.
Upgraded MacBook Airs featuring the latest
generation Intel portable processors were also announced. The good news is that the MacBook Airs remain
at the same price points as the previous models but with double the disk
storage.
